Overview
Anatomy Assembler is an educational 3D anatomy puzzle made by Nondescript Software Inc. The desktop application is fully offline: everything it needs is bundled with the app, and it runs without a network connection.
Educational use
Anatomy Assembler is an educational puzzle. It is not a medical device and is not intended for diagnosis, treatment, clinical decision-making, or as a replacement for advice from a qualified health professional.
What we collect
Nothing. The app does not create an account or ask you to sign in, and does not collect your name, email address, device identifier, advertising identifier, or location. There is no analytics SDK, no crash-reporting SDK, and no advertising SDK in the app.
What the app sends over the network
Nothing. The desktop application ships as a sandboxed, self-contained bundle with no embedded server and no application network service. The anatomical models, labels, and puzzle content are all included in the app itself, so there is nothing for it to download and no server of ours for it to contact.
What the app stores on your device
Gameplay state — the pieces you have placed, your progress through a puzzle — is held on the device for the current session. The app does not build a profile, a history, or any record tied to you, and nothing it holds is transmitted to us.
Purchases
Anatomy Assembler is sold as a paid app, with a free demo available on itch.io. On the Mac App Store, the purchase is handled entirely by Apple; on itch.io, by itch.io. We never see your payment information or your Apple ID. The app does not transmit purchase or license details to any server we operate.
Third parties
The app itself embeds no third-party services. The only companies involved are the ones that distributed the app to you:
- Apple — distributes the Mac App Store version, handles payment, and (if you have opted in to share crash data with developers in System Settings) may provide us with anonymous crash reports. Governed by Apple's privacy policy.
- itch.io — distributes the demo and handles payment for the itch.io version. Governed by itch.io's privacy policy.
These relationships are between you and the respective store. Once the app is installed, it does not communicate with them or with us.
Anatomical model credits
The anatomical models bundled with the app are derived from open academic and open-source datasets, including the Open3Dmodel project, BodyParts3D (© The Database Center for Life Science), and Z-Anatomy, each under its respective Creative Commons licence. Full source links, modification notes, and attribution are included with the application in ASSET_LICENSES.md and in the app's own credits screen. These are bundled files; using them involves no data collection.
Children's privacy
Anatomy Assembler does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.
Changes to this policy
If we update this privacy policy, the revised version will appear on this page with a new effective date. If anything substantive changes — for example, if the app ever gained a network feature, analytics, or crash reporting — we will mention it in the app's release notes and update the App Store privacy disclosure before release.
